The Education System In The USA

I need to first discuss why I value education as a whole for a Society. It is the core of a progressive culture. Education is the only bearing on a future for any creature. In a macro level Education also prevents the destruction of a population. IE: Crime, the only difference between a criminal and crime is education. I say all this with the possibility of sounding like a Neo-Socialist, but I feel that it is a risk worth taking. I also have had the opportunity to witness it first hand as I grew up Southern Africa where education, or the lack of, is so well depicted. For example, the tribal tradition of some witchdoctors, where they believe the only way to "cure" HIV/AIDS is to rape a new born child is a terrifying lack of education.

This is why it puzzles me so much that in this first class consumer driven culture, that we perpetuate stupidity. Is it because we still buy things no matter what our IQ is? Or is it easier to give the stupid less options? The education gap is at fault for so many areas of recess in our culture; health, economics, politics, the list goes on. I hear so often from people overseas who ask why a society will not care for the people. The only solution I can come up with is because it is run as a business. What a daft concept, who would honestly think that that is a progressive way to approach it. I say progressive in the sense that every healthy person wants to see a person successful and forward thinking. Religious or not, poor or wealth.

So why do we allow such stupid decision be made for us. Who on earth thinks that it is a good idea to allow property tax pay for education. YOU ARE ONLY PERPETUATING THE STUPID WITH THAT MENTALITY. If what we want and need is change,then why would leaving it up the the good old boys seem like a progressive idea?

I leave you with a challenge, leave your mark, change education every way you can, its our only progressive option left.
